Default Moving orchids to a larger mount?

I've only been growing mounted orchids for a couple of years. I now have two that have outgrown their small mounts and I want to attach them to larger mounts. The problem is that there are pseudobulbs growing on all four sides of the mount. Have any of you encountered this problem? How do I attach them to a larger mounts?

I usually just tie it to a larger piece but if you have the plant all over it can be hard.
If you have the possibility to hang it from the roof you can just let it grow "in the air" creating a large clump.

Or you take the big knife and cut it up and mount the pieces on separete mounts, but that is something I would not do.

If the mounts are cedar or something non-pourous, you could try soaking the mount and see if you can loosen the roots on the back so that you can lift the growths off. I have been lucky enough to harmlessly detach a few orchids from ridiculously small cedar mounts so that they could be given a proper mount. If it is cork (which I now use), this works if the orchid hasn't grown into the cork. Good luck!

Can't offer any useful advice as I don't currently have any mounts. I would love to mount one day though so I hope that you get the answer so that I will know what to do when the time comes.

I had one catt mounted to a too small stick, and I couldn't figure out how to re-mount it, so I sat it in a basket, and filled out some of the space with some wood chuncks.
