on one hand, madonna does seem to almost have something good in that dark empty space where normals have a heart. she does stand up for people who suffer discrimination. i will always love her for that. her music was a large part of my teen years. i still love her old stuff. i don't think i have heard anything new since secret garden. in person, however, she is rude, crude and mean. she really likes demeaning and mocking people. i think they get the comparison, because at the the time, what madonna was wearing was all over the news, moreso than the controversy about her lyrics. girls were emulating her all the time, and getting in trouble at school and at home over it. i don't really recall any other music artists that got so much attention over their clothing until gaga. lady gaga would be like a hybrid of a madonna crossed with something less demanding, and more showy looking. and probably better scented, although the rotting meat thing might be present... but i'd risk it and get one. and put it right next to my blooming sized kerli.

Let's just all agree that Britney takes home the trophy for best popstar. She would of course be some kind of Raflesia that smells of Doritos and Marlboro Lights.

Britney has been caught lip synching at concerts, while Gaga gets knocked in the head mid-performance
and finishes the show. She really goes all out for her fans.

For those of us who don't live in humid areas or the tropics, vandas would be the real royalty...not because of their beauty but because they enslave you to your house with their culturing demands. This is not true of the regal Cattleya however. I will stick to my phals however because they reward me through quiet dedication.

Please tell me you were being ironic here.

Britney needs several tons of electronic equipment and synthesized voice-overs to sound halfway decent. Gaga is the real deal. I have a total girl-crush on Gaga...bleached hair, meat dress, and all. Britney? I might consider hiring her as my house cleaner, and I could certainly find someone who dances well in their underwear just down the street if I was into that sort of thing.

I am, however, embarrassed to say that I love her "Fantasy" perfume...it's the only perfume that smells halfway decent on me. When my father-in-law asked me what I was wearing that smelled so good, and I said "Um, Britney Spears..." his response was, "So THAT'S what skank smells like." OUCH.

And I do have to admit her most recent album was pretty catchy...but just in a dance-clubby/mindless way. Nothing groundbreaking. But that song "Womanizer" makes me want to gouge my eyeballs out with a spork. All right, I suppose I should just "LEAVE BRITNEY ALONE!!!" already (putting bed sheet over head)

Gosh, this thread is the most fun I've had online in ages...

Oh good lord, Lady Gaga is a freak, just as Cindy Lauper was the freak of my day. Comparing Gaga to Madonna is like pitting the flamboyant macaw against the sleek leopard, Gaga being the macaw of course. Find someone of the same era to match her up to and make it a fair fight. Victoria Beckham is a suggestion. Or Nicole Scherzinger.

I'd love to see what plant a BBBW (Big Beautiful Black Woman) like Queen Latifiah would be in your opinion.

I think Lady Gaga would be a big fluffy splash colored catt. Madonna would be a blue dyed phal. Brittany would be that discounted sickly orchid you buy bring home and it infects the rest of yours so they all die, except your blue dyed phal.

I think Katy Perry would be a Blue Mystique Phal, because she's so fake and try-hard quirky. A BBBW, Tamara, would be a big fancy Catt because they wear colorful frilly dresses to church.

Katy Perry would be one of those awful silk phals you see at craft centers and I'm being kind.
