    Hi there

I have had this orchid for a few years and it flowers every year without fail, sometimes with 2 stems. The flowers appear in an umbel rather than a spike. It was bought for me without a label. I shouldn't imagine for one minute that it is a "named" variety, would love to know which orchid it is.

I think you're right, Angela. Ctna. Why Not is a great little orchid. When they get big, they can stay in bloom for months.

    Hi

Thank you for your response. However, I am not sure what you mean by Ctna?

Well it is not a Cattleytonia anymore with Cattleya aurantiaca parent now placed into the genus Guarianthe, the new name for this one will be Guaritonia Why Not.

Yes, almost certainly Guaritonia (formerly Cattleytonia) Why Not, though there are some other Guaritonia and Guaricattonia hybrids that could look almost identical.

Thank you all so much. I have now put a label on it so I won't forget. It currently has a spike not far off flowering with another on the way. I also love this orchid and would like some more if I could find them!
