So here are the temps expected this week, should I bring any of my orchids inside? I know that some care sheets give suggested temps but looking for some first hand insight. Thanks!

Orchids would love this weather! I normally leave orchids outside until mid-Nov, when night temp goes below 50. If it's dry, I think they are fine with 40s too, especially catts.

Thanks, I will leave them out them. I think gramms are known to drop leaves in colder temps so I may bring those in. I don't remember it getting this cool here this soon!

WOW those are dream temps for most orchids. Lucky you. Am moving mine inside tomorrow. We are heading to the 40's here in PA.

I wish my night temps were closer to yours! Even midsummer we get down to around 50F...we are having lows in the mid 40s now. Most of my plants are still outdoors. I'm planning to leave some outside all winter with protection from the rain this year. We only rarely see frost.

Wow. It is interesting to know that the temps at Portland OR ( it is Pacific Northwest well known to be a rainy city) is same as yours. We have not seen RAIN for weeks this summer.

Never thought my Houston fall temps would be so desirable to so many! :-) I am sure we will get some more hot days before winter.

We are getting plenty of hot days here...nights however are COOL! I don't really care for my wild temperature swings. I have two pleurothallids that adore it though!Posted via Mobile Device

It was in response to Miller's. We have not seen 40s yet. My A/C is still running. Crazy, huh?
