Gee Ambient, we all joke around. Sometimes more appropriately than others - I speak from personal experience. Don't feel too bad.

As for thirsty plants, I don't have the variety that most people do, and I grow everything in either bark or lava rock. I'd have to say that the Catts in rock take the most water, but nothing compared to what I expect Vandas or Dends would take.

Vanda--with roots hanging in the air they dry out really fast. I try to mist everyday...and trying not to forget.

Next will be the phals in the clay pot and bark mix. The two makes roots dry so quickly that I'm watering so much.

well, of the stuff i grow it has to be some of the Stans...and a Cory/Stan hybrid (see poll thread; it's a bitsa each species i wanna'd.) but with two qualifiers; they're in baskets and so dry out faster, and I don't own any Phrags, which seem to love sitting in puddles, sort of.

the Stans get a fairly good soaking or at least a good spraying most days through the end of October or so....

PHRAGS. as long as it isn't caudatum or a relative, sit them in water and watch them grow like weeds.

My vandas are the thirstiest, I have to water them everyday. But now that it is cooling off slightly and they're about to be moved inside, I expect they'll need to be watered less.
