    Default unknown name

Hello beautiful people, I have this den. orchid that has just given me three flowers I wish there were more, but the color is really beautiful I find, I do not really know the name, I wish I knew for the records though, anyone able to say? I have a few dens that have flower spikes but sadly I do not know the names and I got some as baby plants too, have to wait to see what they produce but enjoy the pic.Name: CIMG0448a.jpg

Just from you photo this looks like a compactum Dendrobium. I cant say for sure because from your pics. I can't tell how tall the canes are. If you can clear that up I have 2 suggestions for you as to the possible name.

It does look like a Den. bigibbum var. compactum. It is my understanding that most of these, on the market, are actually hybrids.

A lovely dendrobium but there must be hundreds of purple look-alikes and therefore difficult to ID.

Most dendrobiums and phalaenopsis come without tags here. I give mine names and date the tags so I can follow their bloomings. No matter what you call yours...it is an amazing color. Very nice...

Definitely a hybrid. Too good to be a species.
