    Default I'VE FALLEN IN LOVE!

I just recently discovered the Pleurothallids!! Wow...so cool (and tiny). I just purchased my first Restrepia sanguinea, and was amazed at how tiny they really are. And it works out since the "Big Boys" leave very little room right now for expansion. So...were the Pleaurothallids are concerned, does any one have any particular fav's?

In a couple of weeks I am headed to my first orchid show (the Ocean State Orchid Show), and hoping <fingers crossed>, that there will be some Masdevallias for me to drool over.

Once the Res. has bloomed I will show pics.

    Много хорошего,
    Aaron

These are very tempting to me as well, especially because space is such an issue. I currently don't have any (I've resisted because I know if I buy one, it's all over...), but after the AOS Show and Meeting held here in my area last April, I'm constantly looking at them in the Orchid Books and Online Catalogs. "The Pleurothallid Alliance" had a wonderful display at the show. They have a website if you're interested, just do an internet search and you'll find them. Happy Growing!

it's actually Pleurotahllis grobyii which got me into the pleuro's... however, I have a Pleuro endotrachys which I am awaiting patiently the opening of the bud.... surely any day now...

Restrepias are also quite nice... but haven't made any acquisitions yet...

    happy hunting.

    cheers

I love the tiny ones! The wierder the better!

Check out this Lepanthes species I used to have (gave it to a friend cause ti was suffering under my care). This shot has NO editing. This is the way it looks in real life.

Now that is really nice. I mean, it's so enticing, sort of draws you in. Now if it was only 6" tall and had a great fragrance...LOL...

Sorry no species name on that one. It is one of the myriad of unknowns.

You might like this one though. Pleuro amporoana.

    enjoy!

P.S. Thanks for all the kind comments.
