    Default My mini sederia japonica has arrived!!

    It's in bud. Only looks like 1 got a little stressed and might not make it but ill post a pic soon... Overall looks to be a great plant. Wanted this one for months now!!

    the darker yellow bud at the top looks like it got too stressed unfortunately the roots are sticking out of the small slits at the base of the pot it came in, making it hard for me to figure out how to keep it standing straight, I didn't want it "sitting" on the roots.......... not going to repot it right now the medium looks fresh and good. I wanted to try perlite mixed with tree fern fiber and moss. Anyone have a recommendation of the potting medium that they use for their S. Japonica? THANKS GUYS (and gals)

    It's beautiful!! Those buds are really larger than I though they would be. Those roots sure look nice and healthy, too. Looks like you got a really good plant, Jennifer. How exciting for you!

    I just repotted mine, but since we live in way different climates i'll leave the potting advice to the folks up your way. I cannot believe the size of roots these get when they are happily potted up. You will enjoy the flowers also, they have a fabulous scent. Nice buy!
