    Default Mixing un-like media

I need to mix 5 items for a growing media. they are not similar. How do you create a 1:1:1:1:1 ratio?

For instance Coir, lava rock, perlite, coco husk chips, and expanded slate.

I'm a handful of this-and-that type - very imprecise but if pressed I would go by volume.

I'll go by equal volume (not by weight). To simplify the process, I'll use a cup or so then fill in each media to certain level (that will be same level for all media) that I need. But, if you want to include sphagnum moss, I'll soak first before filling in measuring cup.

Of course, you may not get exact ratio due to different very nature of different media. But, you will get close estimate to your ratio.

    Hope this helps.

Usually done by volume, but exact ratios are rarely all that important. A pot full of each will do.
