Cut Sedirea japonica spike?

    Default Cut Sedirea japonica spike?

    The blooms have all fallen, do I cut the spike off now?

    i cut the spikes when they started to dry up and turn brown. the plant will not rebloom on the same spike. i use sterilized cutting tools when cutting any of my plants.

    This orchid is going to be a challenge. I think it needs a bit of cool temperature, a bit drier environment and a lot of light in the winter. Right now, I take it outside but I wonder if it is too hot for it. I think it likes the seventies and not too much warmer. How do you keep yours?

    I haven't had mine for 2 months even lol we'll see how it goes. It's pushing a new leaf so I must be doing something right. Likes to dry out between waterings too
