Hell Guys, I just want to share my grow area here in the Philippines. As you know, we are in the tropics. The monsoon rains prevail from July to December and then it's summer time from Feb to May. SInce it's already July, the plants are doing better, they're rejoicing! (summer here could be very unforgiving).
The pictures will also contain non orchids. I will keep this updated from time to time.
COuld somebody tell me the name of this plant. looks like a relative of african violets??
this one is a newly bought ascocenda. no name as well
this is a vine which i bought in a sunday market
birds of paradise!!
most of my orchids are vandas. i also bought bromeliads, they spawn easily!!
1 - trichoglotis brachiata
2 - dendrobium anosmum alba keikis
3 - ascocentrum miniatum
4 - vanda lamellata
What is the name of the little yellow dancing ladies in the second set of pictures? I think I have the same one. Can you post a close up?
That is a beautiful garden and grow area for your orchids. Love your bromeliads. I see that you have a Strelitzia reginae (Bird of Paradise) blooming so your place must be cooler than the lowlands. The plant in the first picture is Espiscia cupreata 'Frosty' or by its common name of Silver Leaf Flame Violet. There are a few varieties of Episcia cupreata with different coloured leaves and flowers.
beautiful grow area, thanks for sharing
The African violet type plant looks like a Streptocarpus species. Brilliant growing area Kenneth
