    Default Sunburned Leaf

I just noticed today that one of my Phal's that is out in the yard has sunburn on a couple of leaves. I brought the plant back onto the screened in porch to get it out of harms way. Should I take the damaged leaves off or leave them alone?

If the damage isn't extensive leave the leaves alone , if the area's are extensive or mushy remove as little as you can , dust with cinnamon & see how they go.

I agree with Steve. I would dust the spot with cinnamon and as long as the spot doesn't start spreading you can leave it alone. If you need to remove it, use sterile scissors or a sterile razor to remove anything brown and squishy. Best of luck...

I will try it. Thanks for the direction. I'm very new at this (I guess you already deduced that!) Mary

If it is truly sunburn, the tissue has essentially been "cauterized", and is sterile, so no fungicides or other treatments are necessary.
