    Default Help identifying this Cattleya & Laelia (Lc) in bloom

    This orchid grew from a mature plant 5 years ago.. Blooms every year, but the flower this time is smaller after reporting.

    This Laelia (Lc ?)grew from seedling 3 years ago . First time blooms.

    Lost the name tags and hope if anyone can help. Thank you.

    The second one might be Bl Morning Glory or another B nodosa cross...The petals are a bit wide for Morning Glory ...could be Bc. Nanipuakea (B. Nodosa x C. Hardyana)

    Sorry I can't help with the ID, but I surely hope someone will. That way I can look out for one. I just fell in love with it (the second one to be precise).

    I agree that the second one has some B nodosa in it and possibly is a Blc Richard Mueller cross.

    The first one looks like it could have some Chocolate Drop in it, although it's hard to say. The second one looks very much like my BL. Petite Stars, which is also in bloom right now.

    Regardless, both are gorgeous - good growing!

    I was going to suggest some Chocolate Drop in the first one too, it's one of the few that I am pretty familiar with.
