Default This is why you should NEVER throw out a "dead" orchid!

I've been incredibly busy for quite some time now, and have completely neglected my orchids. Most of them are fine, but this particular Phal. seemed to have given up the good fight as all the leaves fell off and it turned into nothing more than a dried out stump. Lo and behold, before I got the chance to clean out and throw it away the little bigger did something amazing. THREE keikis came out of nowhere! It is absolutely dead set on living, and as it's one of my favorite Phals I'm thrilled. Just an example of these miraculous plants resilience even when they're neglected to the point of death.

That's cool! Must be quite a relief. I've been sitting on one that got crown rot, but still had two good leaves and good roots. It has since lost one leaf. I've had it for at least a year since it got crown rot hoping that it would do the same as yours.
