Thanks terp. saw it on another of ur posts. Seems to have flytrap features and definitely unique. So far I have had no luck finding one.

Pavel-Coryanthes mastersiana is almost what I am looking for Gongora horichiana is new for me, ahhhh decisions, decisions....... now there was a pic on the google site you provided caladsplendens.jpg that is definitely what I want. Its white and purple and so beautiful, yet again need unique. Keep in mind I can google, not every beauty of nature has made it online.

Thank you though, not all I can find online either I would've never found the one mentioned above without you.

Not doubting that. But unless you know what to Google for ....

Then too, there was the issue of not knowing what someone else will find both unusual and appealing. By linking you to a image site containing numerous images of the various species in a genus, I was able to expose you a plethora of species photos.

Many genera may have one "odd ball" or two, but the genera I linked you to above I think tend to take the cake for "weird". Oh, and lest I neglect Ian's favorite genus:
    Catasetum -- https://www.google.com/search?q=cata...w=1264&bih=677

Oh and just thought of a few more:
    Habenaria -- https://www.google.com/search?q=cata...naria&tbm=isch

    Ophyrus -- https://www.google.com/search?q=ophy...w=1264&bih=677

    Trichoceros -- https://www.google.com/search?q=ophy...tMenu&tbm=isch

Well your dream may not be that far away -- I'm sure some ninny will think of dying or spray painting the blooms blue at some point.
