Unhappy Help on how to grow phalaenopsis-Leopard prince?

    Hi,
I am new to orchids and am trying to figue it out. Help!
I got a beautiful Phalaenopsis-Leopard Prince from _ a few weeks ago. I water about once a week and mist every day. Well, I lost one leaf, it turned brown at the tip, then began to turn yellow and had a big spot on it. I cut it off, and the rest of the plant looks good. Well, now one leaf is brown at the tip, and some purple spotting is appearing on the leaf.
I live in Florida, so the temps are mild right now. 50-70 at nigt, and 60-80 in the day.
I need a plan on how to care for this plant, please. What does brown tips meat? What does purple spotting mean? What do I do to make this plant thrive, not slowly die?
    Thanks!

    hi
    basic hybrid phalaenopsis care
1-light : low to medium and never direct sun
    2-temperature : intermediate/warm
3-watering : on a week as you do seems to be ok. You can remember that roots should never stand in water
    4-feeding : use fertilizer

For spots, very difficult to say without photo. Check system root of the plant
Purple spotting can be to much sun, virus, etc..... Some phals have purple leaves...
