i have a few i grow outside, ren imschootiana and "tom thumb" have both done well over the winter. the imschootiana is bare root in a plastic basket like this, and it is very dry here, but it is doing better than expected. i mist it almost every day before work unless sit is very cold, and dunk it in water twice a week. for 20 minutes to an hour or so. the beautiful fiery flowers are worth a little extra effort.
