That's what I'd thought also, but all the pictures I see on the Internet, have a white lip and on mine it's quite pink, so that confuses me.

Certainly not E. tampensis. To my eye, I see epidendrum in there. Possibly a hybrid?

I was wondering hybrid too. This actually looks identical to orchidsal's prismatocarpa except I don't see spots on this one.

I think the best thing to do is contact the vendor. I'll send him an email.

What does the plant look like? The flowers look very much like Epidendrum floribundum.

I think you could be right Jason. I just google for it and the flowers look identical. The plant has round pseudobulbs, much narrower on top with two leaves at the top of the bulb. From the centre of the bulb, emerges the spike. It was standing next to the Encyclias so I just assumed it was an Encyclia. It's not that it was sold to me as being an Encyclia. My fault. I'll label it as Epidendrum floribundum.

At a second thought, I don't think I can label it as Epidendrum. The plant doesn't look at all like the Epidendrum floribundum in IOSPE. The best will be contact the vendor and see what he says.

I just wrote the vendor an email. Will keep you updated.

That should be Epicyclia Serena O'Neill (Encylcia cordigera x Epicyclia Mabel Kanda). Mabel Kanda is Encyclia cordigera x Epi. densiflorum.
