I my Rossioglossum 'Rawdon Jester' has started opening it's first flower, And while it looks like it's gonna be a beauty, I'm disappointed in the flower substance. I thought these were supposed to be thick, waxy, long-lived flowers and as it is so far it's kind of thin feeling like a Cattleya. Do some flowers strengthen once they fully open to their full potential? I seem to remember the same thing happening with my Zygo but I just can't recall. I just want the flowers to last more than a week!

Kelly the flowers are not waxy but can last up to about 6 weeks if my memory does not fail me
