    Default some help please!

hello! i have a Miltassia C.M. Fitch Izumi orchid that i just got and it's ready to flower. what genus is this orchid and what kind of specifics do i need to know to take care of it?
the only orchid growing experience i've had is one i bought about 2 years ago which has never flowered but has grown beautiful gigantic leaves and has finger-like roots growing out of the pot and seems to be very happy (other than not flowering). i would like to avoid this with my new orchid and i would like to learn how to keep it flowering.

    thank you!

Miltassia are hybrids between species from two natural genera; Miltonia and Brassia.

If I'm not mistaken (others, please correct me if I am), they don't tend to be terribly picky, but do not care for long periods of high heat (i.e. 90F+), and should not go below about 60F. Any advice for growing Brassia should apply pretty much exactly to growing Miltassia; this should give you a start in looking for an online culture guide (that is, try a search for "brassia culture")

We could certainly give more specific advice than this, but we'll need to know a bit about your growing conditions.
