    Default Brassia Identification

    Hello this is my first question I have an orchid in bloom which I believe us a Brassia secies. I wonder if anyone can help me narrow it down. It is in Colombia. Thank you.

    Brassia cyrtopetala, perhaps.

    Kirk could be right but Brassia maculata and verrucosa could be considered as well.

    Looks like Brassidium. Brassidium Shooting Star may be. I could be wrong though

    I agree it is probably a hybrid, and a Brassidium of some type is likely, and probably not a primary (first generation from species) hybrid. Unfortunately, that does make it harder to make a definite ID. There are quite a few hybrids of this type. If it happens to be a well known clone maybe you'll get lucky and someone may recognize it.
