Default divide and report caulo-cattleye lace sprinkles

Hey there- Can someone give me advice on this plant? It had grown out of the pot and I severed the rizone and repotted, as you can see it has a bloom coming. However, the main plant, I did not repot, and it has no new growth. It looks old and the leaves have these brown spots. Should I divide this and hope that it will give new growth or should I wait for new growth on the old plant and then divide and repot. I got this at an auction and it was HUGE. The first picture is the one I repotted - it was 6 inches out of the pot with new roots and a ton of old ones hanging out.

The repotted one looks like it is too deep into the media. The rhizome should be exposed as I understand it for best results. I think buried causes rot.

My experience is no repotting of catts unless there is active, new, root growth.

it's just moss on top of bark chips, read somewhere that the layer of moss helps keep the moisure in for a new repotted. I will remove! It's bee a month. Thanks!

Don't divide the new one anymore. Be very careful not to let the moss be too wet or the roots will rot. Next sign of new growth, pot it into bark or something else that drains & dries well.

Keep caring for the old one, maybe next growing season it will develop new growth on the old parts of the plant

The new one is potted in bark, with moss on the top. I removed the moss. Thanks for the advice!
