My moved my first psycopsis mendenhall into s/h but it didn't make it. It probably was my fault that the roots may have not been actively growing when I potted it into s/h. But it was also on the small side. And the roots were pretty short to start with. I think all of those contributed to its failure.

i bought the smaller growing one from the same place a few months ago, mariposa "twins". it came with several growths in a 4" deep style pot. it is ready to be potted into something larger though, it is hitting the edges, which pinched out a growth. the growing medium is potting soil? if the other comes as bushy, i will go into s/h asap. if it is smallish, and not overgrown i will leave it alone until ready. no need to stress it out too much if i don't have to.

If the orchids in your bosses office aren't recieving enough light then that may be why they don't bloom.
