I have a vanda Dr Anek growing seemingly happily on a piece of cypress wood but it hasn't bloomed yet. Anyone else growing like that?

How do you pot a bare root Vanda? I want to put mine in a clay pot and I don't want any media in the pot with it. Rite now it's in the plastic basket it came in. Should I keep it it in the plastic basket and just sit it in a clay pot?

Clay pot + moist & loose sphagnum moss is excellent. I have a few bare root vanda's that I have it claypot and some charcoal and watered daily. They seem to love it and rooting crazy.

I posted about the V Dr Anek on cypress wood. It has since bloomed beautifully, with 7 huge "blue" flowers. How often could I expect it to bloom? Are vandals seasonal?

From my understanding some Vanda's are free flowering. Research the vanda that you have any information on it should be helpful. I just bought my first Vandish type. The grower said mine is a late summer bloomer and I should expect a spike or spikes "fingers crossed".
