Default Will this cattleya sheath bloom?

A sheath appeared on one of my cattleyas in August so I was excited about the possibility of seeing it flower. However, this is what it looks like today. Is all hope lost for a bloom?

Maybe not, on one of my catts i have the same. I just cut recently most of drying material. Sometimes it got wet inside and looks like it could rot and suffocate tiny little buds inside.
So i also was hopeless that in wont produce buds but when i cut i saw little bumbs as just strarted develop bud.

I've had one with a dried sheath pop out flowers 6 months later, so don't give up. On the other hand, most of my dry sheaths do nothing.
