    I think the most nearest to the above plant is Doritis pulcherima as I have darker color similar like yours I agree very slow growing, the point towards Doritis are roots system similar like Phalaenopsis in contrast Rhynco the roots very plum/ huge and is not like the above presentation.Maybe this will give some clue.

    Thanks for the heads-up zainal. Doritis genus is new to me, so I'll definitely look it up to see if I have found anything that looks like my plant.
    In any case, I'll have to wait 5 years to finally see the plant in its full glory.
