Personally, I use 1/4 teaspoon per gallon when I water/fertilize.

It should not burn the roots at that concentration. I use 1/2 teaspoon per gallon.

the instructions say to use 1 tablespoon per gal 1 time a week so im going to use 1/4 of that daily or 1/16 of a tablespoon ( not tea spoon )per liter

First, let's think about the math... If they recommend 1 tablespoon/gallon once a week, and you want to use it daily, you should probably use 1/7th tablespoon per gallon, not 1/4.

Now let's do a reality check: what is the formula of the fertilizer? It must be awfully weak if it is to be used at a tablespoon/gallon.

it is msu ro formula 13-3-15. ok I miss read it is 1 tea spoon per gal my bad but I also read onllne it says to use 3/4 teaspoon /gal
1 teaspoon= 4.9gm so to mix 1 lt it should be ~1.25 gm/7=.17gm , don't know if my scale will measure so little I may have to mix 1 gal at a time

If that is powdered fertilizer (rather than the mislabeled liquid from a vendor in Delaware), and you plan to feed the vanda on a daily basis, I'd recommend no more than 1/6-1/5 teaspoon/gallon, which will give you about 25-35 ppm N. 3/4 tsp/gal will give you about 125-130 ppm N, which is fine if you feed once every 10 days- to 2 weeks.

The MSU powders are made by a company whose clientele typically use whole bags at a time, if not several, so it's not the most uniform powder known to mankind, so trying to use small amounts ends up giving you inconsistent nutrition. Also, your conversion of volume to mass may-or may not be correct, as the bulk density of the powder varies from batch to batch made. To remedy all of that, and to make life easy on yourself, make up a liquid concentrate using a large amount of powder, then let down that liquid for your final solution.

For example, let's say you wanted 25 ppm N in your final solution, and for convenience sake, want to use 10 ml of concentrate per liter of solution. For 25 ppm N, that formula requires 0.19 g/L of powder, so you just have to make your concentrate 100x that - 190 g/liter.

so I should mix 190 gm /lt an use 10 ml / liter of that to get 25 ppm for daily use
