--- The tag says that it is "PHAL. Mark Davis" but it doesn't look correct. Is it possible this was mis-tagged?

I am "new" to the orchid hobby. I've had one Phal. for the past 6 years and within the last couple of years I have purchased other Phals, a couple of Cattleyas, and a couple of others I like. I've messed around with hostas, daylilys and bearded iris in the yard for years! As well as exhibition waterfowl & poultry but the orchid-bug finally bit, and I enjoy how they bloom, and waiting to see what and how many the flowers will look like each time. Any help would wonderful! Thanks. ~Jason

Phals with this type of pattern can be extremely variable within the same cross, from nearly pure white to light speckles to random large spots to nearly solid purple, with or without distinct patterns like this. They can even vary from year to year or within the same spike depending on conditions at the time particular buds developed. I see no reason to doubt the identification as Phal Mark Davis.

What sort of waterfowl? I don't exhibit, but have had various ducks for the last 12 years.

Welsh Harlequin, White Muscovy, East Indies & Calls, tufted Roman Geese, and some bantam d'Uccles and Silkies. We've been showing this for 15 plus years. ------ Thanks for the info PaphMadMan!

Ah... Welsh Harlequins are one of my very favorite duck breeds. I had one that was SUCH a pet, she'd help me weed the garden by sticking her bill under my fingers in hopes of getting worms. They are so pretty and lay so well. I've never had any of the other fowl... welcome to the forum! Sorry I'm no help with the ID problem.
