    Default Dinema polybulbon

I bought this little guy in July 2014 and potted it. After a year of almost no growth I placed it on a Kool Log. I still see no progress-not even new roots. What can I do to improve? I am letting it get too dry before filling the log? He gets temps averaging 70* indoors and sunny southeast window.

Mili, get hold of KelpMax and spray the plant two or three times in a row at one Tablespoon per gallon of water. If that doesn't stimulate root growth, nothing will.

I'm not certain that a cool log is necessary, though. I recently divided and old plant, and "mounted" them onto the outside of net pots full of sphagnum, and they have just "taken off".

And I do use KM so I have some! Can I also use that strength when I use it on my other orchids? I had been using it about once a month, half capful per gallon. Thanks, Ray!

I also agree with using the Kelp. Pictures would help us a lot to see if there might be other problems.

When the picture will not upload does it give you a reason why? The image must be 700 pixels or less.

The several-times-in-a-row treatment is for rescuing rootless plants only, and once a month is the recommended treatment frequency for regular use, but it should always be used at a tablespoon per gallon, a 1:256 ratio.

I honestly have no idea of the exact volume of the bottle cap - I think it's about a tablespoon - but if you're only using half that, I suspect you're below the minimum needed to get a good reaction, 1:500, according to the producer.
