    Default Corybas Geminigibbus Culture?

Hey everyone. I recently came into possession of some 'dormant Corybas Geminigibbus tubers'.

I have absolutely no idea about these or what to do with them. They were just cheap where I got them from and I liked the flower on them. I have no expectations, so anything in the not dead after week two category is a win.

I currently have two tiny dry looking peppercorn sized 'tubers' in a small vial. They have a piece of tissue paper in the bottom. I don't know if that was for contrast or if it's supposed to be wet. Any info is appreciated. Thanks.

I know nothing about this miniature but someone here might be growing it, if not, there is info on the web. I would imagine the tissue is there to keep the tubers from being bruised.

I really can't find anything on the web about Corybas Geminigibbus. What I do find is conflicting. I talked to a long time orchid grower last weekend and he didn't seem to optimistic about my chances. He said to put it on top of chopped sphagnum moss and keep it slightly damp. When I start seeing growth, then add a light layer on top of it.

I've read where other people use sand and peat moss, perlite and peat moss, or even more complicated recipes. I already have some sand, perlite, and sphagnum peat moss for my carnivorous plants. I've also got straight sphagnum moss. I just don't know which to use.

On top of that. The man I talked to suggested that I leave it out in the open. He said that if it doesn't have airflow, it's doomed. However, the few other people I've read about grow it in closed containers, like spinach containers. They'll put some gravel in the bottom, some other media on top, water to the top of the rocks, seal it, and that's it for the year.

So there is very little info out there and most of it is contradictory. A lot of it relates to 'Corybas' that grow in Australia. I could be wrong, but I think this one is native to Borneo, so I don't even know if the info I got applies. I guess I can try two different methods with the two tubers.
