They do very well mounted, I have 65 of them and all but 8 are mounted and those are because I ran out of room to put the mounts. You just have to make sure they get watered.

I've grown them on tree fern mounts and they did VERY well. It really depends on the growing environment and your watering habits.

I believe it is an orchid that doesnt like to be disturbed. Will go through a period of worsening?

Jason since you have grown many bulbs and are from Fla, how high temps do you grow them. Being in La. the humidity and temps get pretty high, I have a greenhouse that at times the temps despite all my efforts gets very hot so I am reluctant to grow them there.

I use redwood planks and Wood Mounting Plaque's. I do use sphagnum moss when I mouth them, the ones on the wood plaque's I will cover first with coconut fiber sheets. The last photograph is my wall of Bulbo's that I covered pvc lattice in coconut fiber sheets before mounting them. Pictures of my Bulbophyllum growing area. It was not until I took these pictures that with a bit of re-arranging I can make more room on the 8 foot section, more to buy!

    Monica,
My tempertures are not much different then what you get, being in the sub tropics it gets very hot and very humid here, as you can see they are on the darker end of this shed and I get a breeze almost all the time as it is not enclosed like your greenhouse.
