I have a Cattleya which is a backbulb division. It has a mature pseudobulb/pseudostem. Is there any chance of producing sheeth or flower buds from it.???
If it is a mature (but new) pseudobulb, the answer is yes. You can sometimes (rarely) get buds forming without a sheath forming. This sometimes happens with plants that have just become mature enough to be able to bloom. I have one that is doing this right now. A sheath will not develop on a pseudobulb after it is already mature.
