    Default Hi y'all!

    Hi everyone, it's been forever!

Life got hectic and long story short, I just got back into my orchids. I neglected them for quite some time but they've been incredibly forgiving (even my Vanda! Don't let anyone tell you these aren't tough as hell)

SO, I have two questions as I'm rusty now. I just bought a psychopsis (my first in 6 years, and that one didn't live due to bad roots). When exactly are we supposed to put them in the window? The rule is keep your orchid on display for its flowering period, but....these things flower for years! lol I guess just display it once or twice a year?

Next question: All of my orchids are receiving high Texas light. Almost all have purple blush and they're bursting with new growths and roots. However, I've noticed that it seems the new leaves (on phals and catts) are smaller than the old ones. I've heard that this could be because they don't feel the need to grow giant leaves when they're getting more than enough sun. What do you guys think?

As I use natural sunlight outdoors the only think I can say is when I had one I had it with my Cattleya for the amount of sun they got! So I would say somewhere on a window where they will get some good light.
