Unhappy Help! My Orchid has leaf spots! Photos Attached

    Hi everyone,
My new orchid, a miltonidium, has spots on the leaves, and BTW, the spots are only found on the oldest 3-4 leaves. Please check photos. I'm very worried. What are they? Any cures? Is it anything to worry about? I really, really, hope that it's not a virus, because orchids with viruses are doomed. This orchid is very special to me, and I don't want anything bad to happen to it. Please help!

    Here are links to photos.

your pics are pretty dark, so it is hard to be sure but that looks to be pretty standard. Older leaves will just do that. If you notice it on any newer growth then I would worry.

    Hi Lily!
I agree w/ Forrest on this. I just looked at my SB (which we talked about earlier in Cas.) and my spots which I know are common among Onc. look similar to yours, to my eyes. However, an Onc. is not a Milt. so don't take this as the definite word, maybe others who grow Milts. will chime in on this.

Good luck! I know it is only the older leaves, I bet it will be okay.

I looked through your slideshow too, nice pics!

Thanks! By reading the advice, I guess it's nothing big to worry about.

Actually, Heather, it's a half oncidium (it was labeled oncidium, but the name tag said "mtdm"--means miltonidium, I think, which means it's only half miltonia). So it's common? Okay, then my 1/2 oncidium--1/2 milt. is happy . I'll watch for a few days to see any changes in the spots.

I looked through your slideshow too, nice pics!
I personally thought they weren't that good...I was in a rush but I could've done better. But thanks for the compliment !

    Happy growing!
