you will need....10 banana skins (freeze any if you cant eat 10 in a row!), and aprox. 15-20 eggshells (wash with clean water and store in an icecream container)
Put all into a blender. Blend the two component ingredients together for 1 min. add a pinch of potash if you want a potassium rich solution for tomatoes too. Then add about a cup of clean, untreated water (eg from a bore or rainwater, not sewer water!) or until desired consistancy is reached. Totally organic and good for the plants!
Banana skins and egg shells! Wow, never heard of that before, sounds interesting. Might add that to my list. Thanks.

yea its full of potassium and calcium, and the plants love it. Use it on your tomatoes and add extra potash-the extra gives you pigger, tastier tomatoes

i used soluble chemical fertilizer, 1/3 of original strength about 3-4x per week, and once a month micro nutrients supplements with product called AZOMITE.
i like the idea of banana skin and egg shell

    Cool

Beer? What's the benefit here. My husband would have a heart attack, if I filched from his stash. Again I ask what is the benefit?

Hi Matt. How often do you feed this solution. After you have added the water, how much do you feed each orchid. Thanks

other than getting confused with the idea of boiling worms, we just call it wormjuice, and disas love it in their water!

to answer your "stupid Question", if you used ammonia cleaner, you would probably kill your plants then and there. Dont know about the powdered ammonia though. i think its illegal to use domestically here. i dont know the validity of that though. Remember, there is no such thing as a stupid question, only stupid people, of which you are not, its just a saying of mine =)

I am a newbie and I was using Miracle grow orchid fertilizer (green granules), but I am starting to talk with other growers and so I am switching to MSU and am planning to fertilize weakly weekly.

Would this be a better formula for Phrag. and Paph.s?????
