    Either way, the redwoods on Mt. Tam are pygmies!! Just there to satisfy the tourists and keep them away from the real redwoods farther north! That way we Californians can enjoy them in peace...

    That was actually before they collaborated. Both movies came out the same year '77 or '78, and both were special effect feats and the first anyone had heard of either Speilburg or Lucas. It was a big year for sci fi fans!
