I think of all the orchids (even all plants species), Paphs and Phrags have always caused the most controversy since the very beginning! They are truly magical!

Phrag Sorcerer's Apprentice costs only EUR 15 in the Netherlands. Klinge is an excellent nursery for these. besseae flavum cost EUR 35 in bud.

What is rare in the USA is not so rare in Europe.

Quoted from a German offer :
(MT : multigrowth, BS : flowering size, xT : x growths, K in spike)

    P.bellatulum alba EUR 200 ( 7 cm)
    P.hangianum EUR 45-60 (BS-K)
    P.rothschildianum EUR 230 (BS) EUR 400 ( 2g)
    P.sanderianum EUR 200 (2T)
    P.sangii EUR 30-75 (BS-MT)
    P.tigrinum EUR 45 (BS) EUR 100 ( 8-9T)
    P.topperi EUR 240 (1BS)
    P.vietnamense EUR 35 - in flower

Some are award-quality, some are very poor. Rothschildianum are very poor, sanderianum would easily be awarded in the US. Some are not that legal, and growers are very careful now.

That's interesting...hangianum and vietnamense would be illegal here...very cheap sangiis, they run at least 200 here. at the same time bellatulum alba and roths can be had for much less here in the US, although of course I base that comparison on one european source.

    what's the exchange rate anyway?
