Oh Lien, I'm so sorry! I have a small sense of how you feel. I do hope that the old bulbs will survive. Best wishes to your plants!

    Commiserations.
    It must be heart breaking.
1 off the reasons i do not keep much in my g/h over the winter , my growroom takes up valuable space but even without heating the temps should not drop
to much if i am without power for a few hours.

Oh Lien, I am so sorry. That is awful news. Were you insured? I hope so. Good luck with the salvage. I would think that since many of your plants were very large, the centers might be alive and well. Keep us posted.

    Fingers crossed for you,
    BD

Lien, I am at a loss for words. I know that much love and dedication has gone into the nurturing of your beautiful orchids. I also know that you will rise above this and have an even greater collection in the future. God Bless You!

Lien ,I am so sorry, what a disaster. I know there is nothing anyone could say to make you feel better---but at least know there is a big group of people here who understand where you are coming from. I know my jaw dropped and I said "oh--no" as I read your posting...Try to carry on as best you can with cleaning up the carnage...

    Tragedy knows no end.

I have a division of L. anceps 'veitchiana' (fort caroline) I think it has an award. The spike is really starting to fatten up and it has a new leed starting. It's grown tons of roots since I mounted this year. I would be willing to give it to you in hopes the blow is lessened.
