Thank you Matthew. None of mine look like that! Except for some new aerial roots. I think that in repotting 2 Catts today I figured out the difference between old viable roots and old dead roots. The dead ones, even when soaked, maintain the consistency of straw and are very papery. The viable ones, even though they may be white or brownish, are more slippery and wormy. Don't you love my sophisticated description??
