Looks good, Steven! Although it looks like your making a Brassavola casserole and are about to pop the little tykes into the oven!

I had trouble with some deflasked Phals. They were fine for a few weeks, then the leaves just started to rot. They were so small, the leaves were in contact with the moss, which could have been the problem. Your guys should be ok. But make environmental changes slowly (humidity and light). Damping off doesn't take well to sudden changes.

I've flasks of Catts, Phals and Trichopilias coming next week, so I'll see if I have more success this time. LOL, I suspect they're from the same place as yours!

That is too funny. They look good Steven -- nicely done.

Ditto to murgdan -- would one of you PM me where you are getting these babies? (I have a greenhouse to stock you know -- okay, so I probably own't order for a couple months, but it never hurts to know a good source for flasks and seedlings. )

Not too much has changed, but I am certain that the vast majority of the plants have survived thus far. I will see if I can work a picture into my busy evening.

Here you go. I can see a couple of browning leaves, but nothing major and it seems all the roots are in good shape now.

I am keeping an eye on the one odd seedling that I noticed during the initial compotting, but nothing drastic to note yet other than it looks different than all the other plants.

I know this is an old thread, but I'm curious to know if these babies are still around?

I still have one. I just sold 5 or 6 to someone. The rest, well, there are a LOT of plants that do NOT like Southern Idaho and VERY low humidity. We tried raising the humidity in our plant room and were successful. We were also successful at raising the mold quotient too.

So the humidity came down and so has the success rate with plants that require it to be higher. I REALLY need to sell many plants, VERY soon.
