Unhappy Death in My Phal Family

I'm sorry to say but one of my beauties has died. The I.D. tag said it was Phal Desert Sunrise but I have a feeling this is wrong, since any pics I can find of the above are pink/red and not yellow with spots. I love to find another plant. I know this will be near impossible, especially not knowing its true identity. So, if anyone out there could help, I'd be very appreciative. Thanks in advance for the help....

I'm sorry to hear that - what did it die of?

My lack of orchid growing knowledge! I'm new at this and it has taken some time with the learning curve, but I'm getting the hang of things. No body wants to talk about their mistakes...only their success stories and show off their beauties. I should have repotted sooner...not over watered...bottom line root rot! I'm learning and hope to grow some of my own beauties soon.

No worries. You will get the hang of it. Heck, I have been growing for many years and I still kill a few every year. LOL. It happens.

    Cheers,

Killed a paph recently , dropped a pot on it by accident & it broke the leaves away from the base of the plant.
