actually no. I don't line the basket with anything. If you pack the moss in while it is very wet, it stays put fairly well. Occasionally I will get a stray clump of moss that works its way through the cracks, but that's only at the beginning. After a few weeks, everything stays in its place very well.

Nice, Kitty! I use cheap fiberglass screening from the hardware store if I need to line a basket.

I just potted up two species Catts in a hangin clay pot that was too large for either, but perfect for cohabitation. Just leave the tag for each tied to the plant so there's no confusion who is whom. It's like compotting for adults.

I would never intermingle different social classes. As I recall, these were two impeccable blue bloods. They ought to be hissing like geese at each other by now, LOL!

Here's an update. It looks like my NOIDS are getting along famously in their basket. Can you see the spike? It's really exciting being that I don't have the foggiest idea what these plants look like, other than knowing they are phals. I hope they have paisleys or little pink rhinos on their blooms.....or something.

I have been staring at the picture to find the spike, and was about to give up when I saw the blighter making off for the window!

    Well done you!

LOL...yep, it snuck up on me too. I had no idea the spike was there until a friend pointed it out last night.
