    and now all you have to do is wait another three + months before you will see bloom. My Psychopsis spike is close to 5 feet before I can see a bud forming.

    5 FEET??? None of mine is over 3 feet long... What type do you have?

    Is this the plant's first blooming? I'm trying to gauge what sort of size these need to be in order to flower.

    Yes, this will be the first blooming of this one. I bought it one and a half year ago as 'close-to-bloom' size, which showed quite right

    The flower is on the older spike over one year old that slept for 5+ months before it bloom again. The spike with the red arrow have a little bud forming and the spike with the white arrow not bud form yet.
