    Default Paph. tigrinum

Can anyone tell me a little more about culture for the tig? Also, I was wondering what the leaves look like. I don't have anything related to this one, I don't think. Yet!

    Thanks!

Hi, Heather. I've had one of these guys for a couple of years. Neat flower ! No, I haven't had it bloom yet but it has grown very nicely for me and I just divided it last weekend !

It is a plain green strap-leaved variety and has been an uncomplicated grower. But it does have a rep for being a tricky bloomer, bud blasting and such. I haven't even gotten mine to spike yet.

They are tolerant of warm temps in the summer after blooming but I'm told that they do like some cooling down into the 50s for winter nights. And not too warm while spiking and budding either.
s has some tigs to offer, and I'm sure Lynn would give you some cultural guidance if you asked. It's such a cool flower that as long as I can keep it healthy and growing I'm gonna keep trying. Good luck if you decide to get one, and let me know. We can commiserate together !

Thanks, though I am well aware, I hadn't explored the pics yet. Nice, compact too! Need compact growers, at the moment!

Oh, and quit the enabling! hahaha, you guys all must think I am *such* the pushover!
