Is it ok to mix a premaid orchid mix with sphag? The mix contained bark, perlite and charcoal and I added sphag to it to pot my dendrobium. Is this ok? There is more bark than anything else...Thanks
p.s. What media do miltassias perfer? I need to repot mine, but it came in pure sphag and I don't like that...any suggestions?
Should not be a problem. The sphag will hold water and dendrobiums generally like to dry out between watering. So, depending on how often you water, you can make it work.
The Milt can be in the same mix as above. Again it depends on your watering habits. We grow all of our orchids in bark mix except for the vandas which we grow in lava rock.
