Shade is a good idea , just mist it in the mornings for a few weeks(no watering) , this should encourage root growth.

Just don't pot it into too big a pot-just a smidgeon larger than your rootball.Once the new pseudos put their roots down & anchor it you should be okay.Stake it up to keep from wobbling so new roots can firmly take hold.Too large a pot will keep the media too moist & you will get lots of root rot.

Despite the fact that lots of growers don't like sphag, it really is good for situations like this. If you put a thin layer of loose sphag on top of whatever medium you happen to be using, it will dry stiff and help to keep everything stationary, kind of like the plastic thingy (template?) that holds the beer cans together in the six pack.
