    Default Holy Roots Batman!

So I was doing a little repotting this evening--and thought hey, I ought to repot that phal I got about a month ago, even if it isn't really phal-repotting season. It is looking a little rootbound. I pulled it out of the pot and HOLY COW! I couldn't believe how long the roots were--it is vanda-like. Here's a photo of the phal and the 5" pot it came out of--those tiles in the background are 12x12 inches. Yeah, I'd say it was a little rootbound . . .

No kidding--It took me forever to get the roots untangled and cleaned up. There wasn't hardly ANY media in the pot--I guess it had all washed out over time.

The plant is now repotted in a much larger pot--lots of root room!

Stunning new home for those roots! I bet it will turn into a real monster now that it has "room to grow".

It is absolutely gorgous, Sadie !!! What did you do to those leave........they look great.

This morning I cleaned off my phal leaves with a half of a lemon and it also worked great.

I shouldn't change the subject but I really am disappointed that no one could give me any help with my "Dendrobuim I.D." Guess I have to wait until it blooms...whenever !
    Regards, Janet
