I have a Phal that is actually quite healthy in about a 6 or 7 inch pot. It had bloomed in April/May so in early June I cut the inflor. back about halfway. Then the roots were growing out the drainholes so so I repotted it. It has two new leaves that are currently growing.
My Q. is, should I cut the inflorescence off now and hope that it grows a new one in Fall when the temps start dropping at night? Or still attempt to re-bloom this cut back inflor. which has not done anything yet. Is that because of the new roots and leaves growing or the repotting settling in phase?
I would chop the spike. If it hasn,t done anything yet it probably wont.
Plenty of time for the leaves to grow & to set a new spike before the cold weather hits.
