I've done several designs for people, including my own, and frankly, done them for less than an orchid - I like the idea of a piece of my work walking around on somebody instead of hanging on a wall. I don't tattoo, I just draw[paint, sculpt, build, digital image/photoshop...etc]. flash[tattoo art] is not expensive,if you use something I draw up you can pick a low to moderate light, intermediate grower, doesn't really matter, a division or keiki of something someday...whatever.

Certainly an interesting option to acquiring more space for orchids. Considering the amazing array of shapes, I'd imagine something could be found for just about anywhere on the anatomy.

P.S. Curved Air was out of regular venustums. Fox Valley has small ones. I'll check a couple of other options y'all mentioned. I'd still prefer one for my live orchid collection for now.

On further contemplation, I can envision a large front-on roth done on the back - lateral petals spreading under shoulderblades, leaving room for dorsal sepal to taper into neck, ventral sepal w/pouch extending down to a point, accenting the tapering torso.

    Would that be fabulous??

Pete, you must post a picture of yours when done.

    About that price .
Since he is 1 of my bowling buddies i,m getting it cheap .
He still hasn,t said he can do it .It,s getting the white to stand out
    that is bothering him.
Tatoos in the UK are expensive .A full arm tatoo is about £900($1700)
this is for quality work(body art really).

I could see spending $1700 for a full arm. Concidering that a medium sized tattoo is anywhere between $100 - $200 (high quality , custom tatt), I could easily see a high price for a full arm. Maybe we need a tattoo thread?

Maybe! I'm not quite sure why I'm so interested all of a sudden, but I take it as a healthy sign! Hopefully, since Uncasteeb is in a different country, he won't mind if I borrower his Roth idea. I think I'd rather have the single blossom. If I'm not mistaken he wants two blooms plus leaves (?). Is that "white" thing really a problem? Come to think of it I can't remember any white in tattoos I've ever seen. Would natural skin tone do for the white (assuming caucasion)?

Orchids ltd. has a really nice pic in their library of roth. 'Rex' x 'Mont Millais' - I don't know what the copyright issues are with that tho! Lol!
