had to go with digi-fix... I'd like to order more, but space is now a premium, so I have to be a little better behaved... anyways, it's nice to be able to enjoy other types of orchids without having to know how to grow em

Oh Geeze it depends on what day of the week it is!!! I have done all of the about at one time or another. But I guess puttering and staring is what I do most.

it is a rare time if I don't have anything in bloom but occasionally I need a fix for a new plant. I was bummed out that I couldn't attend the WOC. So I ordered 37 Bulbo species to fill the gap.

You go Ron! Wish I could have gone also and I just don't have room for 37 more Phals. LOL I settled for 3 species Phals.
Maybe the next WOC will be in Montreal....

I do all of the above and in certain chronological order:
    a) I'm always looking for that phal species (now it's a stuartiana var. punctatissima) or even a certain primary hybrid (a fantasy musick, please) so I make a new list and windowshop in certain german orchid nurseries. That's when
    b) I get impatient... I check the growing process (I keep a photo archive of my plants, for a year now) and, being unsatisfied, I immediately
    c) water and fertilize my orchids even though they don't quite need it just yet and so I end up killing one or two seedlings. After that...
    d) I check for new posts in this forum, especially in the "blooming phals" section, where some lucky grower flaunts that little special plantlet that I'VE GOT TO HAVE...so inevitably
    e) I bid frantically at an auction or order from those aforementioned nurseries.

So my answer is: yes to all.

I window shop all the time, just to look at what is out there and what the prices are. Quite often I find a "bargain" that I just HAVE to buy....
